Membership at The Vision Center Church of all Nations
A Calling. A Covenant. A Commitment to God’s House.
God never intended for His people to live spiritually unrooted or loosely connected to His Church. From the beginning, God established a pattern: believers belong in His household, united in covenant, purpose, and mission. Membership isn’t about adding another social group to your life—it’s about embracing God’s design for your spiritual growth, identity, and fruitfulness.
Let’s go deeper.
The Church: More Than an Organization
Many today view church as simply another community group—something to join, attend occasionally, or add to a résumé of social involvement. But the Church is not a club or a society.
The Church is God’s family, God’s people, and God’s chosen instrument to reveal His Kingdom on the earth.
Understanding this changes everything about how we see membership.
God’s Household
Scripture teaches clearly that becoming part of a church is becoming part of God’s own household.
“Now you are no longer strangers to God and foreigners to heaven, but you are members of God’s very own family…” — Ephesians 2:19
Membership means connection—to God, to His people, and to His work.
When we distance ourselves from God’s house, we unintentionally posture ourselves as strangers to His purpose. That sounds strong, but it’s true. Disconnection communicates disinterest in what God is doing through His Church.
The Household of Faith
When believers live disconnected, the Bible describes them as spiritual orphans—though God has provided pastors, leaders, structure, protection, and community.
Membership means:
- You are known
- You are accountable
- You are covered spiritually
- You are contributing to the household of faith
This is God’s design for your growth.
Membership Is a Matter of Commitment
At The Vision Center Church of All Nations, we believe that membership is active, not passive.
It was never God’s intention for anyone to join a local church and remain uninvolved or unfruitful. Nor was it His will for believers to withhold stewardship of the resources He entrusted to them.
Just as in the book of Numbers, we track and guide every member so that:
- Everyone grows
- Everyone serves
- Everyone is known
- Everyone contributes
- And the church can fulfill its God-given mandate
This is not bureaucracy—this is biblical order, designed for spiritual progress.
A Double Commitment: To God and to His People
Scripture teaches that a Christian’s commitment is two-fold:
- Commitment to God
- Commitment to other believers
You cannot fulfill the will of God with only one.
The early church understood this deeply:
“…they gave themselves first to the Lord, and then to us by the will of God.” — 2 Corinthians 8:5
To do God’s will, we must commit to God and to His fellowship—His Church.
Building or Scattering?
Jesus taught that neutrality does not exist in the Kingdom:
“Whoever is not with Me is against Me; whoever does not gather with Me scatters.” — Matthew 12:30
Every believer is either building God’s work or scattering by disengagement.
Churches are built—not on ideas, not on wishes—but on the tithes, offerings, service, prayer, and commitment of their members.
This practical participation is the first evidence of true covenant.
Membership is not a name on a list.
Membership is your life, presence, and commitment in action.
The Witness of Stewardship
Jesus teaches that your heart follows your treasure:
“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” — Matthew 6:21
This is why stewardship is a core marker of membership.
If the tithe does not enter the house of God, it reveals an area of the heart not yet aligned with biblical membership.
The widow with two mites showed us that the issue is never the amount—it is the heart, the commitment, and the faith that honors God and builds His Kingdom.
Tithing is not the end—it is the starting point of a life committed to God’s household.
Your Call to Belong
Membership is not paperwork—it is covenant, calling, and commitment.
You were designed to be:
- Planted
- Covered
- Connected
- Growing
- Serving
- Giving
- Known
- Fruitful
We invite you to step fully into the life God intended for you.
